About the Author
Sam Czura
Being crowned Miss Universe Australia took Sam from a rural town of three streets to some of the biggest cities in the world — and sparked a lifelong inability to stay put.
After completing a double degree in Business and Law with Honours, she briefly pursued her ambition to become the next Atticus Finch, working in human rights at Amnesty International, before deciding adventure had considerably more pull than the courtroom.
She traded legal briefs for international modelling, spending the next several years working around the world. Along the way, she appeared in film and television, presented for Fox Sports, was the face of the New York Marathon, featured in a Super Bowl commercial, and somehow found time for skydiving, bungee jumping, scuba diving and other questionable life choices.
Years of travel eventually led Sam back to her first love — writing — where she discovered she was far more comfortable with fluid ink than constricting costumes.
She now lives on the East Coast of Australia with her husband, two spirited children and pets, all of whom provide considerably more material than she could ever invent.
